Byron's strange nightmare

Lately I have noticed that Byron has been acting strange. He sleeps late and wakes up before i do even though he doesn't start school until nine thirty. He has built a strange eating habit of not eating with the rest of the family and then complaining that his head hurts. I thought he was sick or just wasn't hungry, but turns out he has repeatedly had a horrifying dream.

He says that in his dream he is being chased all around the house by a tall man with red skin, long white hair and devil like horns. When i asked him about his dream he said " the scary guy waits for me every night by the stairs". I don't know if the man from his dream is someone he saw in a TV show or movie, but he has constantly woken up in tears saying he had the dream again. So far he has had the same dream about four times this week.

I also think this might be a character from one of the YouTube videos he is constantly watching. I think he doesn't want to admit it because my parents might not let him watch anymore videos. I hope his nightmare stops so that the rest of the family can finally get a good night sleep. He has kept me up for the past two days and i hope it doesn't happen again tonight. Hopefully he forgets all about the dream and lets the rest of the family rest.

  1. It could also be that, being a young child, your brother has a vivid imagination. Most youngsters do. Reading your blog I couldn't help but wonder what causes nightmares. Dreams in general are a mystery to me. I hope your brother's nightmares go away soon :) I'm sure once they do he'll go back to acting like his old self. Good luck!

  2. I hope he gets a good dream and forget about the bad one. I think a family member should sleep next to him and not make him feel lonely. maybe that can be one reason that he is scared. Nice Blog:)
