Since this is my last blog post I thought I would tell Byron about the project. Until now Byron hasn't known about my observations, he thought I was just spending more time with him than usual. There are a lot of things I have learned about him such as why he enjoys video games and playing the PS3. I have also learned that he actually loves listening to music when he is playing.
When I first explained it to him he surprised I was doing my project on him because he considered himself boring. Then I said I chose to observe him because he seems to know more about technology than other kids his age.
Apparently he enjoys playing video games because he sees me and my older cousin playing. He sees us playing Fifa or call of duty and says he wants to get as good as us. We still let him play with us but we have to take turns because we only have two controls. But when he plays by himself he usually plays other games such as little big planet or some sort of racing game.
( here we see my brother Byron in his natural habitat)
When he is playing he enjoys listening to music because he says the music inspires him to play better. I don't know if this is true or not but either he always enjoys playing with music playing in the background. He will usually listen to what is playing on pandora and will start getting excited when one of his favorite songs is playing. He will start singing along and jumping around.
Other than playing on a game console or a cellphone he also enjoys playing soccer or basketball. Since we have a little basketball hoop in our room hanging from the door he will play if he is bored of games and pretends he is dunking. Whenever we play he says he is Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant and says he is better than me. Off course I usually let him win so he won't get sad but he still gets too cocky.
Lately Byron has been showing examples of how interesting he is. He knows how to keep you guessing what he will do next. He either starts bragging about how good he did in a game or how he is getting better. His friends are constantly asking about how he is better than them when It comes to soccer or other sports.
I am very satisfied with what I have learned about Byron. He enjoys playing video games but he still knows how to have fun without them.
